Breckin Rex To Represent Wildcats In 38th Annual Lezzer Lumber Football Classic On Sunday

Central Clarion’s Breckin Rex has been selected to play for the North Squad in the 38th Annual Central Pennsylvania Football Coaches’ Association (CPFCA) – Lezzer Lumber Football Classic which is scheduled for this coming Sunday, June 5th, at Philipsburg-Osceola’s Mountaineer Stadium, in Philipsburg. Kickoff is set for 7:00p.m.

Breckin is listed as a 5-10, 170 pound running back and linebacker.

He is joined on the North Squad by several other District Nine League players: from Brookville – Cooper Shall, Tate Lindermuth and Hunter Smith; from Brockway – Jaylen Kosko, Garrett Faust and Peyton Maurer: and from DuBois – Justin Bankovich, Brycen Dinkfelt, Tate Lindermuth and Christian Kirk.

Head Coach for the North is Clearfield’s Tim Janocko. The South Head Coach is Bellwood-Antis’ Nick Lovrich. NORTH holds a 19-17 lead over the SOUTH including last years 26-22 win.

This prestigious game features players from CPFCA member schools. The CPFCA has over thirty schools ranging from large schools the size of Altoona and State College too smaller schools such as Clarion and covers an area from Clarion and Brookville to the north, Clarion to the west, east of State College and below Altoona to the south.

The North has won the last four games and holds a 19-17 edge. There was no game in 2020 due to Covid.
