Bobcat Golfers Place Second At 2022 Bradford High School Boys Golf Invitational

The Clarion Area Boys Golf Team finished in second place at the 2022 Bradford High School Boys Golf Invitational, held on Saturday, July 10th at Pennhills Golf Club in Bradford. The event included twelve teams and thirty-nine golfers (including those playing as individuals).

Their were three golfers on each team.

Leading the Bobcats was Devon Lauer carded a 76 to finish in a second place tie with Warren’s Owen Blum, just one stroke behind Medalist Braddock Damore from Warren, who finished with a 75. Vinnie Lenzie, from St. Marys finished third recording an 80.

Clarion’s Kameron and McKayla Kerle each shot an 81 to finish for a tie for fourth place.

Lucas Mitrosky played as an individual, carding an 82. Though he wasn’t included in the team total, Lucas’ score topped twenty-nine other golfers.

The Bobcats shot a 238, to garner the second spot in the team standings, five strokes off the pace of Warren’s 233, and seventeen points ahead of St. Marys’ total of 255.

Braddock Black (262) finished in fourth, Ridgway (270) was fifth, Oswayo Valley (285) took sixth place.

Clarion’s next door neighbor, North Clarion finished seventh with a 293 total. Competing for the Wolves were, Zeelan Hargenrader with a 94, Ethan Carll at 95 and Mason Shaftic at 104.

Kane (295) finished eighth, Bradford Red (298) was ninth, Coudersport (300) was tenth and Elk County Catholic (347) was eleventh. Smethport only had two golfers, so they weren’t eligible for the team standings.
