Bobcats Volleyball Wraps Up Undefeated 2022 KSAC Slate, Conference Champions For Fifth Straight Season

The Clarion Area Bobcats Volleyball Team downed the homestanding Clarion-Limestone Lions in straight sets (25-12, 25-22, 25-16), on Thursday (October 20th). With the win, the Cats concluded their Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) slate undefeated, at 10-0. The Bobcats have now won five straight KSAC Titles and 11 of the last 13.

For the Bobcats:

Bri Pierce had 11 points (3 aces), 11 digs and a pair of assists. Hadlee Campbell scored 9 points (1 ace), to go along with 10 kills and eight digs. Taylor Alston registered 6 points (2 aces), 4 kills and eight digs. Adia Needham contributed 6 points (1 ace), 4 kills and 5 digs.

Aryana Girvan recorded 4 points (2 aces), 15 kills and eleven digs. Grace Ochs added 4 points (1 ace), 36 assists and ten digs.

Marley Kline had five kills. Sophie Babington contributed with an ace.

The Clarion Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-19, 25-19).

For Clarion:

Lauren Brinkley had 8 points (1 ace) and four kills. Alicyn Burford scored 6 points (2 aces) and had a hill. Kelsey Best had 4 points (1 ace) and two digs. Anna O’Toole registered 3 points (1 ace), 4 kills and five digs.

Rhiannon Copenhaver delivered on 16 assists, 2 points (1 ace) and five digs. Natalie Durish added 6 kills, 2 points (1 ace) and six digs. Alivia Diehl registered three kills.

The Bobcats will host the Clarion Tournament on tomorrow (Saturday, October 22nd) as they await the District Nine playoffs.
