The Clarion Area Bobcat Volleyball Boosters hosted the 2022 Senior Night Celebration, on Tuesday, October 18th, in the gym, prior to the Karns City match, honoring seniors, Adia Needham, Aryana Girvan, Bri Pierce and Grace Ochs, as well as a get together after the contest, in the cafeteria.

Karns City’s seniors were also recognized and presented with a small personalized gift by the Bobcats’ players.

The Clarion seniors were presented with a single flower and their mothers and coaches were presented with a corsage prior to the ceremony. The flowers were from Philips Kifer Flowers.

Emcee for the festivities in the gym was Kevin Beichner.

The Bobcat seniors were escorted by teammates of their choice to meet their parents in the middle of the gym. The seniors and their parents then went to the front of the gym where the girls’ biographies were read, followed by applause from those in attendance.

Aryana was escorted by Rhiannon Copenhaver and Anna O’Toole. Bri was accompanied by Natalie Durish and Kelsey Best. Grace’s escorts were Taylor Alston and Marley Kline. Sophie Babington and Hadlee Campbell accompanied Adia.

There was an extravagant display, for all to see as they entered and exited the gym, honoring the seniors set up in the gym lobby.

Balloons by Lindsay out of Emlenton completed the display, which featured individual posters of Aryana, Adia, Bri and Grace, with orange and black balloons, volleyball balloons and individual balloons which had the girls’ names and numbers on them.

The senior’s will also receive an 18×24 head shot photo, on foam board of themselves. The foam was created by DMS Printing of Corsica, featuring photos taken by Smith’s Photography. This foam board will be autographed by their Bobcat teammates as a keepsake.

A special shoutout goes to Marley’s mother and Booster Club member Deeanna Kline coordinated this great event.

Clarion Area Head Coach Shari Campbell shared her thoughts about her seniors for this article:

Adia with parents Ronni Lencer and Craig Needham

Congratulations to Adia Needham. She has been a great addition to two state championships and continues to grow as a player. I look for her to make a big contribution in our playoff matches.

Aryana with parents Tracy and Nate Girvan

Congratulations to Aryana Girvan. She has been a key to our teams as a starter over the past four seasons. It is great to see her embracing her role as the senior outside hitter who can carry a big load. She is continuing to get better each day. I look for her to be a workhorse at all our practices and matches as we strive to achieve our goals.

Grace with mother Stacy Ochs

Congratulations to Grace Ochs. Grace has become a key 6 rotation player for this team as setter. She continues to be the tough server that has helped our previous teams to achieve championships. Through the playoffs, Grace will bring an ability to run the offense and manage the momentum of the match.

Bri with parents Jolene and Allen Pierce

Congratulations to Bri Pierce. Bri has stepped up as libero this season and is playing her best volleyball. This season she has gained the experience needed to be the defensive leader this 2022 team needs. I look for her to be that vocal leader our younger players will look to through our playoffs.

Coach Campbell also shared these words:

I would like to congratulate our seniors and their families on a great senior night. It was great to get the win with so many family and friends supporting these seniors on a special night. I would like to thank the Booster Club for making it so memorable for Adia, Aryana, Bri and Grace.

DMS Printing also completed the commemorative Senior Night programs.

(Congratulations to Bri, Aryana, Adia and Grace!!!! And a job well done by the boosters and all involved!!!! Special thanks to all who contributed information for this article and all whose photographs were used!!)
