Devon Lauer And Gabe Simko Named To The All-Tournament Team At The 2022 Carl A. Truance Holiday Basketball Tournament All-Tournament Team

Clarion’s Devon Lauer and Gabe Simko were named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2022 Carl A. Truance Holiday Basketball Tournament at Punxsutawney High School on Thursday, December 29th.

Devon scored 23 points, with Gabe scoring 15, as they and their Bobcat teammates downed the Marion Center Stingers 69-31 in their tournament opener on Wednesday (December 28th).

Then in the nail biting 45-44 loss to the Cameron County Raiders, in the championship game on Thursday, Devon had 18 points and Gabe followed with fourteen.

Devon and Gabe are joined on the Tournament All-Stars by a pair of Cameron County players and one player each from the host Punxsutawney Chucks and Marion Center.

Cameron County’s All-Stars were Tournament MVP Camdyn Allison and Landon Farren. Ethan Presloid was third place Punxy’s All-Star. Marion Center’s All-Star was Evan Risinger.

Cameron County’s Josh Smith won the Don Bishop – Extra Effort Award, which is named for longtime Punxutawney Booster Don Bishop, who has given over thirty years in support of the program.
