Wreaths Across America Shipment Arrives Today And Tomorrow (Tuesday And Wednesday, December 13-14th); Plan To Greet The Team And Help With Unloading

The Wreaths Across America Team will deliver this year’s Wreaths this morning (Tuesday, December 13th) for St. Joseph’s Church and other cemeteries in Lucinda (Fryburg and Marienville will also be left there).

Tomorrow (December 14th) The Team will be at Bobs CB shop at the Strattanville Exit of I-80 at 8 am on to unload wreaths for outlying cemeteries.  A parade to with an escort by the Limestone Volunteer Fire Company to Clarion-Limestone for a meet and greet at 9:15 am. Then they will go to the old Sealy Plant to meet up with Clarion Fire & Hose Company #1 and head to Clarion. They are Scheduled at Immaculate Conception around 10-10:30 am, then to Clarion Area High School. The convoy will then head up Second Avenue to unload the Wreaths at around 11 am.

Another convoy delivers to Rimersburg and Sligo.

They Parade will then head to Knox to deliver wreaths for Knox area cemeteries. Following their time in Knox, they will continue and end in East Brady for anyone who wants to go for the whole ride.

The Wreath Laying is Scheduled for Saturday (December 17th) at the various cemeteries around the County. This year over 50 cemeteries in Clarion County are participating.

This event, which is held “each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day . . . is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,000 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.” (From Wreaths Across America Website).
