YDL Sports Network Announces 2022 Jim Kelly District 9 Football Awards And All-District 9 Team; Number Of Wildcats Selected, Ryan Hummell And Jase Ferguson Major Award Winners

The YDL Sports Network announced their 2022 Jim Kelly District Nine Football Awards and All-District Nine Team on Monday, December 12th, with six members of the District Nine Football League Region 1 and District Nine Class-AA Champion Central Clarion Wildcats being named.

Two Wildcats, Ryan Hummell and Jase Ferguson came away with Top Awards. Ryan was named Defensive Player of the Year and Jase was selected as Offensive Player of the Year.

Ryan was named to the First Team at Linebacker and Jase was named to the First Team at Quarterback and Second Team.

Joining Ryan and Jase on the First Team were Ashton Rex at Wide Receiver, Tommy Smith at Tight End and Thomas Uckert at Placekicker.

Jase was also named to the Second Team at Defensive Back, along with Jimmy Kerr, who was named on the Offensive Line.

Port Allegany’s Blaine Moses was named Player of the Year and is joined by his Gators teammate Carson Neely who was named Offensive Lineman of the Year. Three other Gators also received Top Awards. Head Coach Justin Bienkowski was named Coach of the Year, Chad Saltsman was named Assistant Coach of the Year and Patrick Crants, Port Allegany’s sports photographer was named Unsung Hero.
