Bobcat Baseball Team Downs Warriors

The Clarion Bobcat baseball team downed the homestanding Moniteau Warriors, 6-0, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference game at Pullman Park in Butler, on Thursday (April 20th).

The Bobcats scored one in the first, one in the fifth, three in the sixth and another in the seventh.

Devon Lauer had a complete game win, throwing seven strikeouts, while giving up just five hits.

Dawson Smail had a big day at the plate, with a home run and two doubles, driving in a run and scoring twice. Bryce Brinkley singled and scored a pair of runs. Noah Harrison had a single, two RBIs and a run scored.

Lauer singled and scored. Hayden Weber, Gary Matus and Derek Smail each singled and drove in a run. Dauntae Girvan also singled.

The Bobcats are scheduled to host St. Marys this afternoon (Friday, April 21st).
