“The boys had a great day and gained a lot of experience in the process especially with 6 of the 8 boys competing were freshman.  It was great to see them out there competing and supporting each other throughout the day!”

Coach Doug Jackson said, “We took a small contingent of athletes to Brookville on Saturday and had some great performances. Mason Burford won the 110 hurdles and came in 5th in the 100. He also had a PR in the triple jump. Gia Babington took the gold in the 800 m run and set a new PR.

“In her first competition of the season, Brenna Armstrong earned third in the shot put and qualified for districts. Nicole Fair had a PR in the 400 as did Kaine McFarland did in the 3200 and narrowly missed qualifying for districts.

“It was a great day for a meet, and we are proud of our athletes’ accomplishments and work ethic.  Our boys 4×800 also qualified for districts.”
