Cross Country: Bobcats Host Karns City, No Team Scoring As At Least One Team In Each Race Didn’t Have Enough Runners

The Clarion Area harriers hosted Karns City at Clarion County Park, on Wednesday (September 27th). There was no team scoring in any of the four races, as one team or the other, or neither had enough runners.

In the Varsity Boys Race, Karns City didn’t have enough runners.

Clarion’s Jonas Wilshire finished first with a time of 18:14.13. Hayden Weber was second, at 19:05.16. Josh Turner (20:00.52) was third. Ben Lambert placed sixth at 20:02.56. Wyatt Aaron was seventh at 20:24.90. Other Clarion runners included: Caleb Turner (21:25.51), Andrew Bartley (21:27.10) and Owen Wilson (30:33.70).

Karns City’s top runner was Dillon Stroup, who finished third at 19:23.43.

Clarion didn’t have enough participants in the Varsity Girls Race.

The Bobcats’ Raven Cunningham finished fourth in 27:30.24. Grace Schill was seventh with a time of 30:03.13.

Karns City’s Miley Mooney took first with a time of 23:33.45.

Neither team had enough runners in the Junior High Boys Race.

Clarion’s Blace Easion led all runners, with a 10:33.42. Noah Frederick was third at 12:26.30. Cash Gilmoreran a 12:31.66 for fourth place and Michael Troese recorded a 13:42.53 for seventh place.

Karns City’s top runner was Dmetri Weckerly, who finsished second with a 11:23.14.

Clarion didn’t have enough participants in the Junior High Girls Race.

Alissa Brooks led Clarion with a second place time of 13:00.25 and Elena Scheftic ran a 13:33.29 for third.

Karns City’s Megan Hartle led the field with a time of 11:23.14.

The Bobcats are scheduled to host Moniteau on Tuesday (October 3rd).
