Bobcats Down Wolves In KSAC Basketball Action
The Clarion Area Bobcats defeated the visiting North Clarion Wolves 79-51, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball matchup on Wednesday (January 10th).
The Bobcats held a 26-18 lead after one period, a 46-26 lead at the half and a 65-37 lead after three.
Three Bobcats finished in double-figures. Kam Merrell had a game-high with twenty points, while burying six treys. Dauntae Girvan canned three shots from downtown as he scored 11 points and Devon Lauer followed with ten points, including a pair of treys.
Gabe Simko and Tanner Miller scored 6 points each, while Owen Kriebel and Jameson McIlwain each had five points, with both hitting a bucket from long range.
Three Bobcats finished with four points, Derek Smail, Quinn O’Neil and Bryce Brinkley. Brinkley had a trey.
Nathan Frederick and Dawson Smail each contributed two points.
North Clarion had three players in double-figures. Ethan Carll led the Wolves with 19 points, with three long range baskets, Drake Irwin added 14 points, with two treys, while Logan Bish added eleven.
The Bobcats are scheduled to host Karns City tomorrow (Friday, January 12th).
