Wildcats Down Chucks In D9 Wrestling Match

The homestanding Central Clarion Wildcats downed the Punxsutawney Chucks 42-22, in District Nine Wrestling League action, on Tuesday (January 9th).

The Wildcat grapplers had two victories coming by way of pin, two by decision, three by forfeit and another by injury default.

Logan Powell at 139 and Josh Beal at 285 both pinned their opponents in the first period.

Getting decisions were Grayson Aaron at 127 (2-1) and Brendon Wright at 145 (11-9)

Picking up forfeit wins for the Wildcats were Mason Gourley at 172, Matt Alston at 215 and Cody Keller at 107.

Jacob Henry picked up his injury default win at 160.

Central Clarion, which is undefeated in dual meet action at 9-0, is set to compete in the Patrick J. Morales Memorial Tournament at Falconer (NY) High School on Friday and Saturday (January 12th and 13th).
