Girls Basketball: Bobcats Down Panthers In “Hoops For Hope” Game
The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Keystone Panthers 45-34 in the “Hoops for Hope” girls basketball game at Keystone, on Saturday (January 20th). The game was a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference matchup.
The Bobcats led 17-5 after one, 28-14 at the half and 40-21 after three.
Marley Kline led the Clarion scoring with twelve points. Taylor Alston added 8 points, while Alivia Diehl and Gia Babington contributed eight points apiece. Gia’s points came on two three-pointers.
Sophie Babington and Lacey Lauer each hit a bucket from long-range while totaling five points apiece. Natalie Durish scored three points.
Keystone won the Junior Varsity game 24-8.
The Panthers led 10-6 at the half and 17-8 after three.
Lacey Lauer scored the Bobcats’ eight points.
Bella Brandon, Keira McGiffin and Addison Say each had six points for Keystone.
The Bobcats will host Curwensville on Tuesday (January 23rd), for Senior Night. There will be no JV game and the Varsity game will begin at 6:00 p.m.
