Wildcat Wrestlers Down Brockway

The Central Clarion Wildcat grapplers traveled to Brockway on Thursday (January 26th), and came away with a 39-30 win.

There was no match at 107.

The Wildcats took a 12-0 lead, with forfeit wins by Kaden Ferguson at 114 and Wyatt Aaron at 121.

Brockway’s Weston Pisarchick won by fall at 127, to cut Central’s lead to 12-6.

Logan Powell downed his opponent, 4-1 at 133 giving the Wildcats three more points and a 15-6 lead. Parker Pisarchick had a pin at 139, and the Rovers were within three at 15-12.

Brendon Wright won by fall (3:37) at 1145 and Central led by nine again at 21-12.

Rover pins by Dylan Bash at 152 and Blake Pisarchick at 160, gave the Rovers their first lead of the match at 24-21, Wildcats. But Mason Gourley won by fall (1:20) in the 172 match and the Wildcats had the lead back at 27-24.

A fall by Jack Smith at 189 gave the Rovers their last lead of the evening, 30-27.

Matt Alston had a pin (2:38) at 215 followed by another fall (3:29) by Josh Beal at 285 to set the 39-30 final.

The Wildcats are set to compete in the Ultimate Warrior Tournament at West Branch today and tomorrow (Friday, January 26th and Saturday, January 27th).
