Boys Basketball: Clarion Downs A-C Valley In Bobcat’s Last Regular Season Game

Clarion Area downed the homestanding A-C Valley Falcons, 64-51, in the Bobcats’ final regular season game.

The Bobcats led 18-10 after one, 38-28 at halftime and 48-34 after three periods.

Devon Lauer led Clarion with twenty points, with two buckets from beyond the arc. Dauntae Girvan followed with nine points, including a trey. Owen Kriebel connected on 7 points, with one from long range, while Mason Burford scored 6 points.

Bryce Brinkley and Dawson Smail registered 5 points each, with Dawson connecting on a three-point shot. Gabe Simko and Tanner Miller each delivered four points. Kam Merrell and Derek Smail finished with two points apiece.

The Falcons were led by Jay Clover with 19 points and Brody Dittman with eleven points, including two treys.

The Bobcats will play Karns City in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) Championship Tournament Semifinal matchup on Friday (February 16th) at PennWest-Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium.
