Bobcats Down Fires, In KSAC Baseball Action, Wildcats Softball Falls To Dutch

The Clarion Area Bobcats came away with a 17-0 (5 inning) win, on Tuesday, April 9th) over the homestanding Forest Area Fires, at East Forest, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference action, while the Central Clarion Wildcats fell to the host St. Marys Dutch 11-0 (5 innings), in non-league play.

Baseball Summary

Clarion Area scored 4 runs in the first, 4 runs in the second 6 runs in the third and another three in the fifth.

The Bobcats had 12 hits, while five pitchers combined for a no-hitter, Wyatt Watterson, Hayden Weber, Nate Frederick, Parker Miller and Ethan Rex, who was credited with the win.

Watterson had three hits, scored two runs and drove in a pair. Bryce Brinkley singled and doubled, scored twice and had an RBI. Derek Smail tripled, drove in three runs and scored twice. Tanner Miller and Devon Lauer each doubled. Miller drove in two runs, while Lauer drove in one.

Noah Harrison had one hit, an RBI and scored twice. Dawson Smail singled and scored twice. Dauntae Girvan had a hit and scored a run. Frederick and Eli Rudesyle each singled, scored a run and drove in a run. Rex, Parker Miller and Dylan Smail each scored a run and drove in a run.

Gabe Anderson drove in two runners and Billy Kahle scored a run.
