Central Clarion Head Coach Joe Lopez had this to say, “It was a great day for softball.

“In game 1 we had many clutch hits, including 6 straight hits in the 3rd  to tie the game at 4.  Then again in the 6th, we had really good at bats to get a rally going and take the lead back.

“Jenna did a great job in the circle, limiting damage and working out of innings all game.”

“Game 2 just wasn’t our game.  We put up 9 runs in 2 innings and got complacent at the plate, allowing Brookville to work back into the game, and credit to them for doing so.

“Defensively, we made 7 errors which made things difficult.  The good news is that we have more games to play.

“Looking forward to bouncing back on Wednesday/Thursday.”

The Wildcats are scheduled to face Forest Area at East Forest, today (Wednesday, May 15th) and Brockway at Brockway, tomorrow (Thursday, May 16th).

(Keep working hard, Wildcats!!!!)
