Bobcats Capture Third Place In Happy Valley Invitational Golf Tournament Class AA Division; Kameron Kerle And Lucas Mitrosky Finish In Individual Top 10

The Clarion Area Bobcat golf team competed in the Happy Valley Invitational, held on the Penn State Blue Course, at State College on Thursday, August 8th, finishing in third place, with a team score of 311.

Two Bobcats finished in the Individual Top 10, with Kameron Kerle finishing fifth and Lucas Mitrosky finishing eighth. Kameron carded an even par 72, with rounds of 37 and 35. Lucas was two strokes behind his teammate, shooting 39 and 35 for a 2-over 74.

Joining Kameron and Lucas on the Clarion Area team were James Keenen, who just missed a Top 10 Individual spot, finishing eleventh, recording a 38-39, 5-over 77 and Parker Miller, who shot a 46-42, 88 for thirty-fifth.

The Top 10 teams in Boys AA included: 1) Cathedral Prep – 301; 2) Fairview – 308; 3) Clarion – 311; 4) West Shamokin – 317; 5) North East – 225; 6) Rocky Grove – 331; 7) Fort LeBoeuf 1 – 342) 8) Central Cambria – 346; 9) Central Martinsburg – 361; and 10) Ligonier Valley – 367.

The Top 10 Individuals in Boys AA were: 1) Anthony La Boda / Fairview – 66; 2) Alex Talmage / West Shamokin 1- 69; 3) Conner Laird / Cathedral Prep – 71; 4) Cooper Wierzchowski / Cathedral Prep – 71; 5) Kameron Kerle / Clarion – 72; 6) Santino Washburn / Cathedral Prep – 73; 7) Colin Cunningham / North East – 73; 8) Lucas Mitrosky / Clarion – 74; 9) Leyton Hassenplug / North East – 74; and 10) Aaron Wetjen / Rocky Grove 76.

Forest Area finished fifteenth at 436. Their two-round totals include: Jacob Glass – 87 (31st), Jonah Glass – 110 (59th), Zachary Carll -112 (60th), Brad Hartle – 127 (63rd).

Rocky Grove’s individual two-round scores: Aaron Wetzen – 76 (10th), Hayden Bevier – 81 (20th), Shiffer Anderson – 86 (29th), Dillon Hamilton – 88 (34th).
