Bobcats Fall To Beavers In Matchup Of State Volleyball Number One’s
The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a non-conference volleyball matchup to the homestanding Corry Beavers 3-0 (22-25, 25-27, 22-25), on Wednesday (September 26th). The Bobcats entered the contest ranked number one in the state in Class A, while the Beavers were ranked number one in Class AA.
Ali Burford led the Bobcats in service point, with 8 (2 aces). She also had 2 kills and four digs.
Natalie Durish finished with 6 points (3 aces), 16 digs and two kills. Addiwyn Campbell recorded 19 assists, 8 digs and five service points. Anna O’Toole had 5 points, 11 digs and two kills.
Sophie Babington registered 4 points (1 ace), 5 kills and eight digs. Hadlee Campbell turned in 9 kills, 10 digs and 3 points (1 ace). Lacey Lauer finished with 2 points 3 digs and a kill.
The Clarion Junior Varsity fell in straight sets (20-25, 10-25).
The Bobcats are scheduled travel to East Forest to face the Forest Area Fires today (Thursday, September 26th).
