James Keenen Earns His First Ever Medalist Honor As Bobcats Win Fifth Straight KSAC Boys Golf Mega Match Of Season

James Keenen was the medalist for the first time, shooting a 1 under par 35 to lead the Clarion Area Bobcats to their fifth consecutive Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Mega Match of 2024, at Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred Golf Course in Butler, on Tuesday (September 3rd).
Clarion assistant coach Jackie Kerle complimented James, saying, “Congratulations to James on his fantastic round of golf and his first career win! We are so proud of you and the hard work that you have put in.”
Kam Kerle finished two shots behind his Bobcat teammate at 37, for second place. Also scoring for the undefeated Cats were: Lucas Mitrosky, who shot a 41 to be a part of a five-way tie for seventh; Wyatt Watterson, who finished 12th at 42; Parker Miller who finished tied for seventeenth, at 46; and Gabe Anderson who posted a 50, to tie for thirtieth. Anderson’s round didn’t count in the team scoring.
The Individual Top Ten looked like this: 1) James Keenen – Clarion (35); 2) Kam Kerle (37); 3) Sean Karg – Keystone and Connor Zerbe – Cranberry (tie at 39); 5) Chloe Fritch – Karns City and Joe Rapp – A-C Valley/Union (tie at 40); 7th) Lucas Mitrosky – Clarion, Dalton Wenner – Cranberry, Joey O’Donnell – Karns City, Brayden Baylor – Keystone and Connor Ealy – Moniteau (five-way tie at (41).
Team Finishes included: 1) Clarion (201); 2) Cranberry (218); 3) Keystone (223); 4) A-C Valley/Union (237); 5) Moniteau (245); 6) Forest Area and North Clarion(tie at 247); 8) Karns City (255); and 9) Clarion-Limestone (300).
The next KSAC Mega Match is today at Hunter’s Station Golf Course in Tionesta.
