Bobcats Down Fires In KSAC Basketball Action

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting Forest Area Flames 66-19, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference action on Wednesday (January, 8th).

Clarion held a 25-4 lead after one period and with a 21-4 Bobcat edge in the second, they led 46-8 at the half. A 9-5 Bobcat edge in the third had them up 55-13 heading to the fourth, where an11-6 Clarion edge set the final.

Three Bobcats scored in double figures, Nathan Frederick with 15 points, Mason Burford with 14 and Dylan Smail with twelve.

Luke Rouze scored 6 points, with Parker Miller contributing five including a trey. Treyan Hooks, Patrick Durish and Quinn O’Neill had four points apiece. Miller had one bucket from long range.

Wyatt Watterson scored two points.

Mitch Bowden led the Fires’ scoring with five points.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Karns City next Thursday (January 16th).
