Wildcats Down Rovers In D9 Wrestling League Match

The Central Clarion Wildcats downed the visiting Brockway Rovers 42-36 in a District 9 Wrestling League encounter on Tuesday (January 14th), where every match was decided by either a pin or a forfeit.
Brockway opened the match, which started at 145, with three straight pins, to take an 18-0 lead. Colton Ross stopped Kullen Buzza at 145 in 1:34, Blake Pisarchick downed Caleb Hunter at 152 in 1:01 and Collin Weir defeated Jeremiah Queenan at 160 in 1:32.
Pins by Mason Gourley at 172 and Jake Henry at 189, had the Wildcats down by just 18-12. Mason pinned Cash Butters in 1:42 and Jake downed Blake Pisarchick in 3:05.
The Rovers opened up a 36-12 lead after three more pins. Madox Decker downed Gavin Hannold at 215 in 0:26, John Winnings pinned Hayden Hindman at 285 in 4:43 and Gage Park stopped Payton Hinton at 0:42 in the of the 107 bout.
Five straight Wildcat wins, four by forfeit and one by pin sealed the victory.
Three straight forfeit wins by Wildcat’s Drew Crompton at 114, Jackson Mravintz at 121 and Rea Eisenman at 127 had Central Clarion down by just six points, at 36-30.
Grayson Aaron tie the score at 36-all, by pinning Brockway’s Channing Kline in 1:58 of the bout at 133. This was Grayson’s 20th win on the season.
Logan Powell had a forfeit win at 139, giving the Wildcats the 42-30 victory.
The Wildcats next scheduled action is at the Bison Duals on Saturday (January 18th).
