Clarion Comets Indoor Track And Field Team Competes at SPIRE Ohio Preview Meet

The Clarion Comets Indoor Track and Field Team travelled to SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on Saturday February 1st to compete against some of the best athletes from several states and Canada. The Comets represent several school districts including Clarion Area, East Forest, Redbank Valley, Clarion Limestone, Cranberry, North Clarion, and A-C Valley. The team is coached by Tammy Lerch.

Eliza Datko had a top 25 finish in the 1500m placing 24th and she also competed in the 800m. Vera Heferle ran the 60m and 200m and participated in the long jump. Avery Ortz ran the 60m hurdles and competed in the long jump.

Aiden Fox placed 8th in the triple jump

Aiden Fox placed 8th in the triple jump and competed in the long jump. Brady Guth placed 6th in the triple jump and he also ran in the 800m. Isaac Lerch placed 16th in the long jump and ran the 60m. Wyatt Boyden ran in both the 400m and 800m.

Garrett Dick participated in both the 60m hurdles and the 200m. Jonas Wilshire, Blace Easlon and Drake Edmonds competed in the 1600m. Chris Kim doubled in the 800m and the 1600m.

The Comets return to action on February 7th at Youngstown State University WATTS Center for their 3rd YSU meet of the season.
