Wildcat Track And Field Team Has Good Day At DeMans Team Sports Brookville Invitational

The Central Clarion track and field teams had a solid day at the 27th DeMans Team Sports Brookville Invitational on Saturday (April 12th).
Central Clarion athletes who finished in the top ten in their events included:
In Boys’ individual events:
Mason Burford took first place in the 200 (22.68) and second in the 400 (54.70). Brody Beggs finished second in the 100 (11.51) and fourth in the 400 (23.67). Capturing third in the 400 (54.03) was Wyatt Boyden. Ben Lambert finished fourth in the 200 (23.67).
Fifth place in the 800 (2:06.69) went to Mason Gourley. Hayden Hindman finished seventh in the the shot put (40′-7.5″).
Jonas Wilshire was eighth in the 1600 (4:45.54), with Jason Megnin finishing eighth in the 300 hurdles (45.13). Joshua Turner was ninth in the 3200 (10:47.13).
The Wildcats’ 4×100 relay (44.42), consisting of Lambert, Beggs, Caleb Hunter and Burford took first, as did the 4×800 relay (8:32.31), which included Gourley, Chris Kim, Wilshire, and Boyden. The 4×400 relay (3:38.19), including Burford, Nathan Frederick, Beggs and Boyden finished second.
In Girls’ individual events:
Eliza Datko took second in the 3200 (12:00.81) and fourth in the 1600 (5:29.77). Kaitlyn Guth was third in the 300 hurdles (49.36) and sixth in the 100 hurdles (17.22).
Elana Sheftic finished in a multi-tie with a number of others in the high jump (4′-6″)
The 4×800 relay (11:32.41), consisting of Julianna Schwabenbauer, Reise Jackson, Olivia Radaker and Datko finished sixth and the 4×100 relay (54.79), which included Livia McGinley, Sophie Babington, Natalie Durish, and Guth finished seventh.
