Baseball: Bobcats Down Rams In Five Innings; Derek Smail Hits Grand Slam, Parker Miller Fires One Hitter

The visiting Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Johnsonburg Rams 12-0 in five innings on Monday (May 12th).

The Bobcats had a big, five run second inning, which included a Derek Smail grand slam. Clarion had four runs in the third and three runs in the fourth. 

Carter Hindman threw a one-hitter, going the entire five innings on the mound. He had three strikeouts and a walked just one batter.

Smail totaled two hits, the grand slam and a double, driving in six, for the Bobcats. Noah Harrison had a pair of singles, two runs scored and three RBIs. Dylan Smail doubled, drove in a run and crossed the plate three times. Miller doubled and scored twice.

Ethan Rex doubled and drove in a run. Hayden Weber singled and drove in a run, and Gabe Anderson scored once.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Greenville today (Tuesday, May 13th) for a 4:00 p.m. game.
