Wildcats Down Raiders In Softball Matchup At Heindl Field

The Central Clarion Wildcats traveled to Heindl Field in DuBois, on Saturday, May 10th to face the Brookville Raiders. The Wildcats led 12-8, when the game was ruled complete due to time constraints as another game was schedule.

The Wildcats were the home team.

Brookville opened the scoring with five runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Wildcats answered with three runs in the top of the second, with the Raiders scoring one in their half, 6-3 Raiders after two. The Wildcats scored eight runs in the third and the Raiders one, the Wildcats led 11-7. Both teams scored a run in the fifth.

Emileigh Mahle had a big game for the Wildcats going 4-for-4, including two triples, three RBIs and a run scored.

JJ Wilson had three hits, one run scored and a run batted in. Samantha Simpson doubled, tripled and scored twice. Ashlyn Clark had a pair of singles and scored a run.

Elizabeth Estadt singled, scored a run an drove in two.

Karlee Mahle single and scored twice. Jenna Dunn singled and scored once. Brinley Kiskadden scored once and drove in two runs. Megan Powell scored once.

Dunn threw four strikeouts in picking up the win.

Megan McKinney had three hits and scored a pair of runs for the Raiders.
