Wildcat Boys And Girls Both Claim Second Place At Redbank Valley Track And Field Invitational

The Central Clarion Wildcats Boys and Girls had a number of top three finishes, as both came away with second place finishes at the Redbank Valley Track and Field Invitational, on Thursday, May 9th.

For the Central Clarion Boys:

Wyatt Boyden came away with two firsts and a second. He won the 400 (51.53) and the long jump (20′-2″) where he led a Wildcats 1-2-3 sweep in the event, with Nathan Fredereck (19′-9.5″) taking second and Isaac Lerch finishing third at (19′-7.75″). Boyden’s second place finish was in the 110 hurdles (15.51).

Jonas Wilshire captured first in the 1600 (4:37.16).

Mason Gourley was second in the 800 (2:03.78).

Jason Megnin finished third in two events, the 300 hurdles (44.74) and the high jump (5′-8″ – three-way tie).

Mason Gourley, Brady Guth, Wyatt Boyden, Jonas Wilshire.

Two relay teams finished first, the 4×100 (3:29.21) which included Mason Gourley, Brady Guth, Wyatt Boyden, Jonas Wilshire, and the 4×800 relay (8:10.98) run by Gourley, Brady Guth, Boyden and Wilshire. The 4×100 relay (42.98) consisting of Ben Lambert, Jase Ferguson, Brody Beggs and Mason Burford took second place.

For the Wildcat Girls:

Brenna Armstrong captured two individual events, the shot put (39′-7″) and the discus (125′-3″). Both were Elite Performances, rated MileSplit USA 2nd Team.

Eliza Datko second in the 1600 and 3200 

Eliza Datko came away with two second place finishes, the 1600 (5:22.53) and the 3200 (11:44.82). 

Kaitlyn Guth third in the 300 hurdles

Kaitlyn Guth earned a pair of third places, the 100 hurdles (16.11) and 300 hurdles (47.82).

Livia McGinley captured third in the 400 (1:02.22).

4×400 relay teams: Wildcats (second place). DuBois Central Catholic (first place), Brookville (3rd place)

The 4×4 relay (4:12.70) run by McGinley, Adi Jackson, Sophie Babington, Kaitlyn Guth finished second.
