Wildcats Fare Well At McDowell Track And Field Invitational

The Central Clarion Wildcats competed in Joe Sanford’s 39th McDowell Track and Field Invitational, in Erie on Friday, April 24th.

The Wildcats had a solid outing, with a number of Top 10 individual placewinners and good performances in the relays, including the a first Boys 4×400.

GIRLS INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES

Adi Jackson

Adi Jackson had the top individual finish of either the Boy or Girls for the Wildcats, with a third place finish in the 800 (2:27.56), as well as finishing thirteenth in the 400 (1:04.23).

Hannah Love

Hannah Love finished sixth in the 3200 (12:18.07) and ninth in the 1600 (5:37.23).

Emma Fitzsimmons took seventh place in the 300 hurdles (51:05) Julianna Schwabenbauer captured eighth place in the high jump (4′-7″) and also finished fifteenth in the 800 (2:36.76). Isabella Anthony was strong in the throwing events with a ninth place in the shot put (23′-9″) and fifteenth in the discus (83′-0″). Corinne Hepful rounded out the Girls Top 10 individual placewinners, with a tenth place finish in the javelin (93′-2.5″).

Liv McGinley finished fifteenth in the 400 (1:04.47) and also took seventeenth place in the 200 (29.10). Dana Coulson took fifteenth place in the 3200 (14:32.33). Reise Jackson finished sixteenth in the 1600 (6:04.03). Kaelynn Fitzsimmons placed nineteenth in the javelin (76′-3″).

Laney Wright was thirtyeth in the shot put (23′-9″) and thirty-first in the discus (67′-6″).

BOYS INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES

Brody Beggs and Jackson Baker had the top performances for Central Clarion. Beggs finished fourth in the 200 (23.29) and also had a fifth place finish in the 100 (11.41).

Baker also had a fourth place finish in the 1600 (4:38.14).

Nathan Frederick finished eighth in the long jump (20′-0″) and ninth in the 400 (53.29). Josh Turner captured ninth place in the 3200 (10:48.97). Jackson Mravintz was ninth in the 200 (24.23) and Brady Guth finished tenth in the 800 (2:11.35).

Chris Kim finished in twelfth place in the 1600 (4:47.24) Ryan Rinker placed thirteenth in the 400 (54.14). Blake Weckerly placed fourteenth in the javelin (129′-8″) and also was thirty-first in the discus (99′-0″). Anthony Bartley took fifteenth place in the long jump (18′-11″).

Kolen Kemmer had a twentieth place finish in the javelin (121′-2″) and Ryan Miles finished in twentieth in the triple jump (36′-3.5″). Brendan Bettwy was twenty-first in the 800 (2:11.35). Kayden Fiscus took twenty-second in the discus (106′-6″). and thirty-fourth in the shot put (33′-0.25″). Daniel Schweitzer captured twenty-seventh place in the Triple jump (33′-5″).

BOYS RELAYS

The winning 4×400 relay (3:28.91) included Caleb Hunter, Guth, Frederick and Beggs.

The 4×800 (8:43.20) finished in fourth place and consisted of Baker, Guth, Alex Hummel and Bettwy.

GIRLS RELAYS

The 4×400 (4:38.26) finished in ninth place and consisted of McGinley, Adi Jackson, Hepfl and Maddie Schill.

The 4×100 (54.47) finished eleventh and included Emma Fitzsimmons, Schill, Hepfl and McGinley.
