Baseball: Bobcats Top Berries In Six

The Clarion Area Bobcat Baseball Team traveled to Cranberry on Wednesday (April 7th) and came away with a 12-1 six inning win over the Berries..

The Cats opened the game by scoring four runs in the top of the first. Cranberry answered with their only run in the bottom of the inning. Clarion added to their lead with a run in the second and two more in the fourth, to lead 4-1 heading to the sixth and then scored another five runs in the sixth inning.

Cole Slaugenhoup and Ryan Alston led the Bobcats offensively. Slaugenhoup went 4-for-5, including a home run, while driving in 5 runs and scoring another. Alston was 3-for-3 at the plate, with two RBIs and a run scored.

Dawson Smail singled and doubled. He drove in a run and scored once. Bryce Brinkley singled, drove in a run, scored a run and also had a pair of stolen bases. Cameron Lapinto singled, had an RBI and scored one run. Dauntae Girvan singled. Devon Lauer and Brady Quinn scored a pair of runs each, while Hunter Craddock and Devon Lauer each score a run.

The Bobcats will host Franklin at Clarion County Park on Saturday (April10th), beginning at 11:00AM.
