Taylor Alston Honored At Bobcats Volleyball Senior Night

The Clarion Area Bobcats Volleyball Team honored this season’s lone senior, Taylor Alston, along with her parents Denny and Emily Alston, on Senior Night on Wednesday, September 27th.

The special ceremony took place between the Junior Varsity and Varsity matches against Clarion-Limestone.

Taylor was given a special bouquet as well as balloons and other gifts.

Clarion-Limestone’s senior players: Ansley Burke, Zoey Ferguson, Abby Knapp-Greeley, Lilly Mahle, Maia Strohm and Alyssa Wiant were also presented special gifts from the Clarion Area Volleyball Boosters, during the ceremony.

Following the match, a reception was held for Taylor. Pizza, cake and cupcakes were served. And the girls signed and shared memories of playing with Taylor during her career.

Throughout her time at Clarion Area, Taylor has been involved in Volleyball, Basketball, Student Council, Yearbook Club and National Honor Society.

Taylor was a member of the Bobcats’ two-straight PIAA Volleyball Class-A Championship Teams, in 2020 and 2021. She was Third Team All-KSAC in both Volleyball and Basketball as a junior.

Taylor plans to attend college to earn a degree in Occupational Therapy.

Clarion Area Head Coach Shari Campbell shared, “Taylor Aston has been an important member of Clarion Volleyball since she was a freshman.  It’s hard to believe it’s time to celebrate her as a senior.  She’s such a great person and  I look forward to all that lies ahead for her.  And, hoping that her senior volleyball season continues to be full of success for her and her team.”
