The Central Clarion Wildcat Wrestling Boosters hosted Senior Night prior to the varsity match with Redbank Valley, on Tuesday, January 30th. In addition to honoring the seniors and their parents, the Elementary wrestlers were recognized.

The festivities began with the Elementary wrestlers running through a “tunnel” of Varsity and JV and Junior High wrestlers and coaches as Elementary coach Bryan Kiskadden announced each one’s name and grade.

After fist bumps with coach Kiskadden, the young grapplers lined up on the home side of the mat and waved at the crowd as they received hearty round of applause.

Next, it was time for the seniors and their parents to walk through the “tunnel and to center mat,” as emcee Jill Henry shared the wrestlers’ bios, which were compiled in the Wildcats’ outstanding full color, keepsake Inaugural Season program, designed by Clarion Area student Brinley Kiskadden.

The senior wrestlers were given special gifts and there mothers received a long stem red rose.

After photos were taken there, they went to the north end of the gym for more pics, which also included a big group photo of Elementary through Varsity wrestlers and coaches.
