Wildcats Have A Fine Showing At 36th Annual Oil Country Track And Field Invitational

The Central Clarion Wildcats had a very solid showing at the 36th Annual Oil Country Invitational, on Saturday, May 3rd at the Oil Field complex at Oil City.
The Wildcat girls finished fourth, while the boys finished fifth in the team standings.
Medals were awarded to the Top 7 finishers in each event, with a number of Wildcats making the podium.
WILDCAT GIRLS

Kaitlyn Guth made the top of the podium, placing first in two events, the 100 hurdles (16.29) and the 300 hurdles (47.82).
Brenna Armstrong captured first in the shot put (38′-1.75″) and second in the discus (124′-1″).
Eliza Datko earned a pair of medals with a second in the 3200 (12:07.33) and a fourth in the 1600 (5:25.75).
Livia McGinley took fourth in the 400 (1:03.42), Natalie Durish finished fifth in the triple jump (31′-3″), and Elena Scheftic and Julianna Schwabenbaur tied for sixth place in the high jump (5′-6″).
WILDCAT BOYS
The 4×100 Relay (8:15.50), comprised of Mason Gourley, Brady Guth, Wyatt Boyden and Jonas Wishire captured Gold.
Wilshire also came away with second place in the 1600 (4:39.93). Boyden was third in the long jump (19′-9″).
Jesse Siwiecki was fourth in the 300 (43.87).
The Wildcats had three fifth place finishers, Gourley in the 400 (54.65), Brody Beggs in the 100 (11.50), and Alex Barrett in the 200 (25.08). Barrett also took a sixth in the 100 (11.56). Guth captured two sixth place medals, in the 800 (2:10.59) and the triple jump (38′-3″). Turner also earned a sixth place medal in the 3200 (10:45.87).
